Interior painting and touch-ups

We paint single rooms, accent walls, ceilings in small rooms, and the touch-ups that pile up before guests arrive or a house goes on the market. Our tech does the prep, protects your floors and furniture, and cleans up before leaving.

This is small-job painting for homeowners, landlords, realtors and property managers from Jupiter to Fort Lauderdale. One room, a hallway, or a list of scuffs and nail holes is the work we are set up for.

What's included

Prep is where a paint job holds up or fails. We fill nail holes and small dents, sand patches smooth, caulk open gaps where walls meet trim, and spot prime anything that needs it before color goes on.

We move small furniture, cover the floor and anything that stays in the room, and mask trim and fixtures. At the end we pull the tape, put things back and take our trash with us.

  • Single rooms: walls, two coats
  • Accent walls, including dark to light color changes
  • Ceilings in small rooms such as bathrooms, laundry rooms and hallways
  • Touch-ups on walls, doors and trim before guests, a listing or a move-out
  • Mildew-resistant paint for bathrooms and other damp rooms
  • Patching nail holes, dents and screw pops before painting

Common South Florida problems

Humidity is the big one. Bathrooms with a weak exhaust fan grow mildew on the ceiling and above the shower, and paint applied over mildew will show spots again. We clean and treat the mildew first, then use a mildew-resistant paint made for baths.

Strong sun through big windows and sliders fades paint unevenly. A touch-up on a wall that gets afternoon light may not match even with the original can, so we tell you before we start and suggest painting that wall corner to corner instead of spotting it.

Seasonal homes and rentals often sit closed up, and rooms get damp. Peeling paint near windows or in bathrooms is usually a moisture sign, and we point out anything that looks like a leak instead of painting over it.

Older homes and lead paint

If your home was built before 1978, we check the painted surfaces we plan to sand or scrape for lead before we disturb them. If a test comes back positive, we refer that part of the job to an EPA lead-safe certified firm.

How a visit works

Text photos of the room or your touch-up list to (561) 816-5974, along with the year the home was built. For most rooms we can give a starting price from photos and confirm it on site.

On the day, our tech walks the room with you, confirms the color and sheen, and sets up protection before opening any paint. A single bedroom is usually a one-day job, and a short touch-up list often fits inside the first hour.

If you live in a condo or gated community, tell us about vendor registration, a certificate of insurance or set work hours when you book, so we arrive with what the building needs. Have your color picked, or the label from the last can. If you do not know the original color, we can take a paint chip to the store for a match.

What affects the price

One bedroom's walls, up to about 12 by 14 feet with two coats, start at $499. An accent wall starts at $249. Paint is billed at cost. Touch-ups start at the $149 visit minimum, which covers the first hour, and time after that is $85 an hour.

Small and mid-size painting jobs are our sweet spot. A full whole-house repaint is a job for a painting company, and we'll point you to one.

  • Room size and ceiling height
  • How much patching the walls need
  • Dark to light color changes that need primer or a third coat
  • Mildew treatment in bathrooms
  • How much furniture has to move
  • Adding doors, trim or the ceiling to the walls

What we don't do

We remove and replace outlet and switch cover plates to paint around them, and that is as far as it goes. Moving or replacing outlets, switches or light fixtures is electrical work, and we'll point you to a licensed contractor for it.

Questions we get about interior painting and touch-ups

How much does it cost to paint a room in South Florida?

Our starting price for one bedroom's walls, up to about 12 by 14 feet with two coats, is $499 plus paint at cost. Larger rooms, high ceilings, heavy patching and dark color changes add time.

What paint should I use in a Florida bathroom?

A mildew-resistant paint in a satin or semi-gloss finish handles shower steam and wipes clean. Running the exhaust fan during and after showers matters as much as the paint.

Can you just touch up the walls before we list the house?

Yes. Touch-ups start at the $149 visit minimum, which includes the first hour. If the old paint has faded, spot touch-ups can show, so we may suggest repainting a full wall to keep it even.

Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?

Clear small items, valuables and anything fragile. Our tech moves and covers the rest, then puts it back when the paint is dry enough.

My house was built before 1978. Is that a problem?

Not necessarily. We check painted surfaces for lead before sanding or scraping them. If a test is positive, we refer that work to an EPA lead-safe certified firm.

Can you paint my whole house?

We take rooms, accent walls and touch-ups. A full interior repaint of a whole house is a better fit for a painting company, and we'll point you to one.
