Homes we work on in Parkland
Much of Parkland's housing went up from the mid-1990s on, when communities like Heron Bay and Parkland Isles were built. Parkland Golf and Country Club followed, with development starting around 2006. So a lot of the homes here are newer and bigger, with tall drywall walls and open rooms.
The older side of town looks different. Pine Tree Estates and Parkland Ranches sit on lots of an acre or more, with long driveways, outbuildings and plenty of fence. On those properties the list often runs outside: gates that sag, rotted trim on a shed, a driveway that needs a wash.
With so much newer construction, lead and asbestos testing is less common in Parkland. Some ranch-era houses do predate 1978, though. If yours does, we check painted surfaces for lead before sanding or cutting, and if lead turns up, the job moves to an EPA lead-safe certified firm.
Gated communities and HOA paperwork
Most Parkland subdivisions are gated, and the HOA or its management company decides who gets in. Typical requirements are a vendor registration, a certificate of insurance on file, a guest pass called in by the homeowner and set hours for noisy work.
Tell us your community when you book. We email our COI to the management office ahead of time and ask you to put us on the gate list for the visit date. If the HOA wants architectural approval for an outside change, that request comes from you, and we can supply a written scope to attach.
Jobs we get asked for most
In newer homes the work tends to be setup and upkeep more than repair. Young families also ask about childproofing: cabinet latches, furniture anchors and stair gates. These are the requests we expect most in Parkland:
- TV mounting over studs, including big screens that need a two-person lift
- Garage shelving and wood tote racks sized to your bins
- Furniture assembly for nurseries, guest rooms and home offices
- Hinge, latch and sag repair on existing gates
- Pressure washing long driveways, pavers and pool decks
Parkland through the year
Wood gates swell and stick in rainy season, roughly late May through October, which is also when water finds the gaps around doors. It is a good stretch to have weatherstripping and exterior caulking looked at.
Storm season here runs June 1 to November 30. If you own panels or accordion shutters, we put them up, take them down and stow patio furniture and loose items. Book early: our storm-prep price is published ahead of time and does not change once an emergency is declared.
If you spend part of the year somewhere else, our home watch visits send you photos of the house while you are away.

Questions from Parkland homeowners
Do you work inside Heron Bay and other gated Parkland communities?
Yes. We send a certificate of insurance to the management office before the visit, and you add us to the gate list. If your community uses a vendor registration form, forward it and we fill it out before the job date.
Can you fix the gate on my acreage fence?
We repair existing gates: rehanging them, new hinges and latches, fixing sag and swapping a few boards or pickets. Gate repair starts at $179. A new fence or a long replacement run usually needs a permit, so we'll point you to a licensed contractor for that job.
How much does TV mounting cost in Parkland?
Mounting a screen up to 65 inches on your bracket starts at $149, which is our minimum visit and covers the first hour. Screens from 66 to 85 inches start at $199 because they take two people. A paintable cord cover adds $59.
Can you build storage racks in my garage?
Yes. We build 2x4 racks for 27-gallon totes, sized to your bins and anchored to the wall. A 12-tote rack starts at $750 and a 20-tote rack at $1,050, with new totes included.
What does a childproofing visit include?
The package starts at $299 for up to two hours: cabinet and drawer latches, plug-in outlet covers and anchoring dressers and bookcases to the wall. Devices are billed at cost, and each hardware-mounted stair gate is $69.
